Besides the actual work done on the parks and playlots by the County, local service organizations have contributed time and in some cases money for maintenance, new equipment, and additions to some of our parks and playlots. We must remember to give them credit for caring about our community.

The following is a very incomplete list of projects done at our local playlots and parks by service organizations. Please email pam@lampinc.com to add projects to this list.

  1. Entrance/Sunrise Park - The Sunrise Kiwanis set up and maintain the park.

  2. Fantasy/Pinocchio Playlot - The Rotary have adopted Fantasy Playlot.

  3. Ridgeway Playlot - The Civitans have adopted Ridgeway Playlot, and several times a year they mow weeds, rake the sand, and clean up trash.

  4. Rover Park - Using County provided materials, several Boy Scouts working on their Eagle Scout project installed sprinklers and built a drainage ditch enhancement, picnic tables, a volleyball court, and a path.

  5. San Ildefonso/Jurassic Playlot - The Diane Soran Foundation provided funds for all of the equipment in the playlot. The Sunrise Kiwanis provided funds for the sand and did all of the installation of the equipment, forming the walkways, pouring of cement, and putting the sand in the areas. The park is awaiting the installation of a gazebo and a slide.
